Recharged collects e-waste of most kinds – working or broken – and gives each item the best possible outcome through reuse, repair, parts recovery, donation or responsible recycling.
How collection works
Pickups
We offer quick pickups in selected Auckland areas, on scheduled days.
Drop-offs
Prefer to drop items off? We run regular local meet-ups where you can hand over e-waste easily.
Drop-off bins
We’re working towards placing household e-waste bins at selected locations.
What we accept
We accept most electronic and tech items, including (but not limited to) computers, laptops, screens, tablets, mobile phones, cables, chargers, accessories, and other electronic devices. Broken or non-working items are welcome.
At this stage, we do not accept printers, photocopiers, or certain types of screens due to handling and safety risks.
Our focus is on electronics and tech, not large whiteware (such as fridges or washing machines) or general household waste.
Secure disposal of data
Your privacy matters to us. Any data remaining on devices we receive is responsibly and securely destroyed as part of our process, so you can hand over your tech with confidence.
All data is permanently removed using responsible, industry aligned methods before devices are reused, recycled, or redistributed.
A certificate of data destruction is available on request for added peace of mind.
Why it matters
Too much tech ends up in landfill simply because people don’t know how to dispose of it. Recharged exists to make it easy to do the right thing – keeping valuable materials in circulation and extending the life of electronic devices wherever possible.

Bulk lots
Have a bulk lot of electronics or tech that still holds value? Depending on the type, condition, and reuse potential, we may be able to purchase items in bulk.
